David Moyes’s West Ham United are now reportedly trying to sign Perr Schuurs, a player who has already turned down the chance to move to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.

According to 90min, West Ham United are in talks to sign Torino defender Perr Schuurs in the summer transfer window.

The report has claimed that the Hammers have spoken with Torino over bringing Schuurs to London Stadium.

This report comes just weeks after it was claimed in the Italian that the 23-year-old centre-back had turned down the chance to move to Liverpool in the summer of 2023.

In May 2023, Tuttosport reported that Liverpool want to sign the centre-back in the summer transfer window.

However, the youngster has decided to stay in Turin for another season at least.

Tuttosport quoted Schuurs’s entourage as saying that the youngster will “100%” stay at Torino next season

The report added the Dutch defender wants to grow and develop as a player, and he believes that he would be able to do that best at Torino.

Could West Ham United sign Liverpool target Perr Schuurs?

In our opinion, if Perr Schuurs does not want to leave Torino for Liverpool, then it is unlikely that he will join West Ham United.

We do not think that the 23-year-old would turn down the chance to join Liverpool only to say yes to a potential move to the Hammers just weeks later.

After all, Liverpool are a bigger club who regularly challenge for the Premier League title and are a global brand.
