West Ham United are ready to make their move for Ruben Loftus-Cheek now, the Daily Mail suggest.

West Ham have had eyes on the Chelsea midfielder after learning he was available, and it seems that a bid could be made soon.

Loftus-Cheek is on a £150,000-a-week deal at Chelsea (Daily Telegraph), but those wages have not put West Ham’s board off, according to the Mail.

Chelsea seem to be willing to sanction a loan move for Loftus-Cheek, so if West Ham do make an offer any transfer could go through quickly.

The Hammers are hoping to raise the funds to make room for Loftus-Cheek by offloading Jack Wilshere, who is one of their highest earners currently.

If Loftus-Cheek, who was once labelled as ‘amazing’ by Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola (Goal), does join West Ham he could complete a midfield packed with energy and power.

Declan Rice, Tomas Soucek and Loftus-Cheek would make a formidable trio in the centre of the pitch for David Moyes’s side, and he could be a highly appealing addition.
