West Ham United have open talks over the signing of Boulaye Dia, according to the London Evening Standard.
Dia has emerged as a potential replacement for Sebastien Haler at West Ham, with David Moyes believed to be impressed with the striker’s form in France.
West Ham are weighing up a number of options to replace Haller currently, but their negotiations with Dia may be at the most advanced stage.
The London club are said to be in talks with the striker’s representatives, as they get his feelings about a move to the London Stadium.
If West Ham are to sign Dia this month, then 90 Minutes suggest that the deal for the Reims striker will cost them £13 million.
Dia has been in strong form in France this term, with 10 goals to his name, but he is unproven in English football.
If he was to arrive at West Ham he would surely offer them a more energetic type of striker than Haller, and he could be a better fit for Moyes’s style.
Dia would be in competition with Michail Antonio for a starting place if he does arrive at West Ham this month.
