West Ham United are considered to have a real chance of signing Hans Vanaken from Club Brugge in January by Voetbal 24.

They say that West Ham’s chances of pulling off a deal for the attacking midfielder are now ‘serious’.
The same publication have previously linked West Ham with a move for the experienced goalscorer.
But it seems that the chances of Vanaken moving to the London Stadium are only growing month by month.
Indeed, the latest update goes as far to say that if Vanaken wins the Golden Shoe in Belgium then a move to the Premier League is ‘expected‘ to take place.
Now a move to England clearly appeals to Vanaken as he admitted just last month that he would consider joining Newcastle, if they were to make an offer.
“If such an offer appeared on the table, I would think about it carefully,” he said to Het Laaste Nieuws Sportcast.
Could the deal happen?
David Moyes has tried to get away from signing players at the older end of the spectrum since moving to West Ham.
However, the additions of Jesse Lingard and Craig Dawson show that he still values experience, meaning a move for Vanaken may not be out of the question.
The 29-year-old, who Roberto Martinez has labelled as ‘really special’, has eight goals in 25 games this season and has scored three in six in the Champions League.
He reached 16 goals for the season last term, and is a specialist at arriving late into the box and getting on the end of crosses.
WIth West Ham’s supply from the wide areas very good, he could be a major threat in Moyes’ side.
And it will be interesting to see how the potential transfer materialises in January, given the latest reports.
