Report: West Ham, Newcastle interested in Diego Reyes

West Ham United, Newcastle United and Fenerbahce are reportedly interested in Diego Reyes.

Newcastle United and West Ham United are interested in signing Diego Reyes in the summer transfer window, according to Sky Sports.

Reyes is a free agent at the moment following his departure from FC Porto at the end of last season, and Premier League duo Newcastle and West Ham are claimed to be interested in the 25-year-old central defender.

Turkish giants Fenerbahce are reported to have made an offer for the Mexico international centre-back.

Good signing for Newcastle United or West Ham United?

Reyes is an experienced central defender, and the Mexico international would be a good signing for Newcastle or West Ham, especially as he is a free agent.

Although the defender failed to make a huge impact at Porto – the 25-year-old was out on loan at Real Sociedad in 2015-16 and at Espanyol in 2016-17 – there is no doubt that he has potential.

However, Fenerbahce may have an advantage over Newcastle and West Ham, as the Turkish giants could feature in the group stage of the Champions League next season – and that could be hugely attractive to Reyes.
