West Ham United are reportedly set to sign Goncalo Cardoso.

According to the Daily Mail, West Ham United are all set to sign Boavista defender Goncalo Cardoso for £2.75million after he completed his medical.
The Hammers are shopping for bargain signings ahead of Thursday’s transfer deadline, having spent big on Pablo Fornals and Sebastien Haller.
Another defender has been on Manuel Pellegrini’s wish list, despite him having Fabian Balbuena, Issa Diop, Angelo Ogbonna and Winston Reid at his disposal.
It therefore makes sense to sign a promising youngster for the future, and Boavista talent Cardoso fits the bill perfectly, with a deal now close to being done and dusted.
The 18-year-old allegedly underwent a medical with the club on Monday, and his £2.75million move to the London Stadium will go through ahead of the deadline.
Cardoso is only a teenager, but already has 15 league appearances for Boavista’s first to his name, meaning he already has experience of top-flight football in Portugal.

The 6ft 2in centre back has been touted for a bright future, and he’ll now head to West Ham alongside fellow Portuguese youngsters Xande Silva and Mesaque Dju.
Cardoso will be in and around the West Ham first team setup, and will no doubt learn a lot from the likes of Balbuena, Ogbonna and Reid, with the Hammers no doubt hoping he can be a bargain in the years to come.
