West Ham United paid Premier League rivals Arsenal £5m for Spanish striker Lucas Perez during the summer transfer window.

West Ham United are willing to make a loss on Lucas Perez as the Spanish striker edges closer to a move away from the London Stadium, according to Deporte Valenciano.
The Hammers signed Perez for £5 million in the summer (Daily Star), bringing an end to his ill-fated spell at Arsenal, but he has endured a similarly difficult time in claret and blue. The 30-year-old has made 10 Premier League appearances with just three of those starts.
And, according to Deporte Valenciano, West Ham will sell Perez should they receive an offer of £3.5 million before the end of the month.
Valencia are interested in bringing the former Deportivo La Coruna talisman back to La Liga but, having met Perez’s agent, it has become clear that they would only be willing to sign him on loan.

So the former PAOK and Dynamo Kyiv forward appears to find himself stuck in limbo with just a week remaining until the January transfer window slams shut.
Valencia’s interest in a new striker makes sense given that they have scored just 19 goals in 20 La Liga games this season.
