AC Milan reportedly want £13million for West Ham United target M’Baye Niang.

According to Sky Sports, AC Milan are open to letting forward M’Baye Niang leave the club before next week’s transfer deadline – but want £13million for him, with West Ham United particularly interested.

Niang, 22, has finally started living up to his potential, having been one of Europe’s most in-demand forwards during his time with SM Caen in his native France.

After some poor displays with Milan, and loan spells with Montpellier and Genoa, Niang hit eight eight goals in 19 games for Milan last season, and has notched three goals and two assists this term.

The French attacker could be pushed out of the San Siro though, as Milan swooped to land winger Gerard Deulofeu from Everton, and Niang – who can play out wide or up front – may find his days numbered under Vincenzo Montella.

Sky Sports report that Milan are open to letting Niang leave, and would want £13million for his signature, but may accept a loan deal with an option to buy in the summer, with West Ham allegedly keen.

The Hammers are pursuing attacking reinforcements, both out wide and up front, with Dimitri Payet potentially leaving the club before the end of the transfer window – and his compatriot Niang could be targeted as a replacement.

With pace, strength, versatility and real potential, Niang could be a smart option for the Hammers, but if they want to sign him before next Tuesday’s transfer deadline, they may have to move quickly.

Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio reported on Monday that Everton and Crystal Palace are also interested in signing Niang, with Milan no doubt hoping that the three Premier League clubs engage in a bidding way over the next week.
