According to the Guardian, West Ham are keeping tabs on Brentford maestro Josh Dasilva.
The Guardian add that, after standing firm on their valuations of Ollie Watkins and Said Benrahma, the Bees will not let the ex-Arsenal man leave on the cheap.
Dasilva, who the Guardian say was converted to a midfielder from a striker by Thierry Henry, is enjoying a fine season.
The 22-year-old has scored five goals in 26 appearances from midfield this term, while also assisting three more.
One of those five goals turned out to be the winning strike in Brentford’s recent Carabao Cup quarter-final win over Newcastle.
Dasilva actually rejected a new contract from Arsenal before joining Brentford in the summer of 2018.

After his arrival was confirmed, Sky Sports quoted Dean Smith – manager of Brentford at the time – as saying: ‘Josh is a player who fits Brentford really well.
‘He has huge potential, is an excellent footballer with a great personality and wants to continue his development by working hard every day.’
If you’re wondering what type of player the London-born midfielder is, then the Daily Mail have you covered.
Their Secret Scout feature saw a couple of Dasilva’s performances in 2019 closely analysed.

In that piece, the Secret Scout states that the Englishman was trusted with the ball by his teammates, and played sensibly from a positional sense.
However, one criticism was that Dasilva can struggle to pick apart a deep-lying opposition defence.
With the January transfer window open from tomorrow, the Brentford No.14’s future is definitely worth keeping an eye on.
