West Ham United have made an offer to sign the teenage winger Adrian Akande – but could face competition from a string of clubs including Tottenham Hotspur, Celtic and Rangers, according to All Nigeria Soccer.

Akande, who is currently on Chelsea’s books, is said to have impressed while training with West Ham’s youth teams last month. But the report adds that Tottenham, along with Liverpool and Manchester United, have opened a line of communication with the player’s camp, with Celtic and Rangers also fighting over his signature.

And there it is claimed there is interest too from further afield, with Hoffenheim having invited him to Germany next month.

But while Akande’s first-team prospects are arguably better in either the Bundesliga or Scotland, with Celtic or Rangers, staying in London, with either West Ham, Tottenham or, of course, Chelsea, may hold greater appeal to the former Crystal Palace kid.

It should be noted however that Akande is still only 15 years old, although he has already appeared in the Under-23 Premier League.

West Ham, Tottenham, Celtic, Rangers or neither – which is Akande’s best option?
