West Ham are keen on Barcelona prodigy Jordi Mboula.

West Ham have made the first move to try and sign Barcelona youngster Jordi Mboula, report The Star.
Young forward Mboula has been likened to Thierry Henry after impressing in the under-19 UEFA Youth League this season. See this stunning goal below.
The Star‘s report claims West Ham have made contact with Barcelona over a deal, amid rival interest from Monaco and Benfica.
Mboula has a release clause of £4.1 million in his contract but there is a catch.
Barcelona will insist on a buy back clause, as his contract entitles them to do, as they did with recent sales of Gerard Deulofeu and Adama Traore.
Nou Camp Barcelona
Mboula was described by Marca earlier this year as ‘Barcelona’s great hope’, yet his path to first team football is blocked by the incredible attacking trio of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar.
West Ham’s interest is likely to see other teams step up their own pursuit of the 18-year-old but their early move could be key.
Mboula would be the second exciting attacker West Ham have signed from Spain in recent seasons, with Toni Martinez impressing for the under-23s and on loan at Oxford United after his move from Valencia.
