According to the Manchester Evening News, West Ham United have lodged an enquiry for Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson.
It’s claimed that Henderson will attempt to leave United this summer if he isn’t made first-choice goalkeeper ahead of David De Gea next season.
The 23-year-old signed a new deal at Old Trafford last summer but is claimed to be ‘frustrated’ with his lack of action this season, meaning he is now eyeing an exit.
Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea remain keen on Henderson having looked at him last summer, but an interesting addition to the race is West Ham.
David Moyes’ men have allegedly made contact about a potential deal for Henderson, seemingly eyeing up an ambitious move for the England international.
Henderson has shown his quality in the past with Sheffield United, but few would have really expected West Ham to be going big for a goalkeeper this summer.
They already have Lukasz Fabianski and Darren Randolph at the London Stadium, and it’s hard to really imagine either of them leaving this summer, even with Fabianski out of contract in June.
Still, United loanee Jesse Lingard is shining with the Hammers, and Henderson may well want that for himself after a frustrating campaign under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
