According to Calciomercato, West Ham are now interesting in bringing Gerard Deulofeu back to the Premier League.
What’s the story?
Well, this would be an intriguing signing for West Ham.
Deulofeu left England in 2021 to join Udinese, having spent three years at Watford – the Italian side activated their €17m (£14m) option to buy.
The Spain international has impressed since moving to Italy, scoring seven goals in 22 appearances in Serie A this season, while also providing two assists.
Calciomercato add that AC Milan are also interested in bringing Deulofeu back to the San Siro, so David Moyes will have a fight on his hands to sign the 27-year-old.
However, AC Milan are yet to have made a concrete move, whereas West Ham are said to have already initiated contact with Udinese.
Gerard Deulofeu would be a clever signing by West Ham

In our view, this would be a wise signing by the Hammers.
Deulofeu boats a vast amount of Premier League experience, having amassed 127 appearances in England’s top-flight.
The Spaniard – who predominantly plays as a centre-forward, but can also operate out wide – is a very different type of attacker to Michail Antonio, so his arrival would give Moyes a nice Plan B option.

Furthermore, Deulofeu would have a fellow Spaniard in Pablo Fornals to help him settle in east London.
As you can see, there are many benefits to this deal – keep an eye on this saga, as West Ham have already made the first move.
