West Ham have reportedly made an offer for Juventus midfielder Sturaro.

Italian outlet Tuttosport have claimed that West Ham United have pushed themselves into pole position to sign Juventus midfielder Stefano Sturaro by meeting Juventus’ asking price – despite Newcastle bidding earlier this week.
TuttoMercatoWeb claimed earlier in the week that Newcastle and Rafa Benitez had made an offer of £11.4million to land the four-time Italy international, but that Juve were requesting £17.5million for his services.

Now, the Hammers are said to have met Juve’s asking price for the ex-Genoa midfielder, who could be allowed to leave Massimiliano Allegri’s side after struggling to get regular game time.
He was afforded just 19 outings by Juve’s boss, with the Italian champions boasting midfield competition from the likes of Blaise Matuidi, Sami Khedira, Rodrigo Bentancur and Claudio Marchisio.

The Hammers have been after a central midfielder for quite some time, failing to land Leander Dendoncker, Jonjo Shelvey or Tom Cairney in the January transfer window.
Now, the east Londoners will be looking to add to their three signings of Lukasz Fabianski, Issa Diop and Ryan Fredericks with a move for Sturaro. The report also claims Everton and Leicester City are keen.
