West Ham United are interested in signing Moussa Marega from FC Porto in the summer transfer window, according to The Express.

It has been reported that West Ham are looking at a possible deal for the 29-year-old striker.

The report has claimed that the Mali international has turned down the offer of a new contract at Porto and will become a free agent next summer.

Marega has been on the books of Porto since 2016 and has done relatively well for the Portuguese giants.

According to WhoScored, the 29-year-old made 27 starts and two substitute appearances in the league last season, scoring 12 goals and providing five assists in the process.

The striker also scored one goal and provided two assists in seven Europa League games for Porto in 2019-20, according to WhoScored.

Need for a striker

West Ham need to sign a new striker in the summer transfer window if they are to avoid another relegation dogfight.

Sebastien Haller scored seven goals and provided one assist in 2263 minutes in the Premier League for the Hammers in 2019-20, according to WhoScored, and the London club need better than that.
