The Premier League duo reportedly monitored the FC Copenhagen man in the summer.

Reported West Ham and Liverpool summer target Ludwig Augustinsson could be on the move in January and both clubs may revive their interest in the left-back, according to the Daily Star.

The Copenhagen star is an attacking full-back and has been rated as one of the best prospects to come out of his native Sweden in recent years.

The 22-year-old was an unused member of his country’s Euro 2016 squad this summer but has already won six senior caps after being a key member of Sweden’s winning 2015 European Under-21s Championships squad.

His impressive form for Copenhagen saw him linked with a host of clubs during the transfer window, with Calciomercato claiming that West Ham and Liverpool were both interested in a move.

Now, the Star reports that Augustinsson could be set to leave the Danish capital for a more prestigious European league in the January window.

The paper suggests that the Hammers and the Reds would be interested in reviving their pursuit of the star, but that Serie A side AC Milan are currently thought to be favourites for his signature.

Liverpool are still on the look-out for a talented left-back to potentially secure the first-choice spot, with midfielder James Milner having been filling for the dropped Alberto Moreno so far this term.

Meanwhile, the Hammers could look to bring in a more reliable and promising deputy for Aaron Cresswell after Arthur Masuaku’s failed to impress during his spell in the side.
