West Ham United could sign Gabriel Barbosa in January.

According to Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio, West Ham United are leading the race for Inter Milan striker Gabriel Barbosa, with talks progressing well.
The Hammers have seen Marko Arnautovic go down with an injury of late, and Javier Hernandez has stepped up to become a regular for Manuel Pellegrini.
The Chilean also has Andy Carroll and Lucas Perez at his disposal, but another striker could still be targeted in next month’s transfer window.
One name linked of late has been Inter Milan’s Barbosa, known as ‘Gabigol’, and new reports suggest that West Ham may be closing in.
Di Marzio claims that West Ham are now leading the race, and talks have not only been opened but are heading in the right direction ahead of the transfer window.

Barbosa, 22, was a sensation for Santos, scoring 56 goals in 154 games for the Brazilian side to earn favourable comparisons to Neymar.
However, Barbosa struggled in Europe with Inter and then on loan with Benfica before returning to Santos, where he scored 27 goals in 53 games.
Barbosa is undoubtedly exciting but needs to find himself a new home, and that could just be West Ham if reports tonight are to be believed.
