West Ham United are reportedly keen on Chelsea defender John Terry –
According to the Daily Mail, West Ham United are one of the teams interested in signing Chelsea defender John Terry – but he doesn’t want to leave Stamford Bridge.
The Hammers have struggled defensively this season, and the 5-0 home thrashing at the hands of Manchester City on Friday showed that manager Slaven Bilic may yet need to land another defender.

Now, the Daily Mail claim that West Ham are one of a number of Premier League teams interested in landing Chelsea veteran John Terry – but the centre back wants to stay at Stamford Bridge.
Terry, 36, has only started six games in all competitions this season, and with his Chelsea contract set to expire at the end of the season, he has been linked with a January exit from the club.

However, after spending more than 20 years as a Chelsea player, it’s stated that the prospect of winning another league title with the Blues outweighs his desire to play first-team football with another club.
West Ham are allegedly keen on Terry, in what would be something of a homecoming for the defender. Terry spent four years on the books at West Ham in the early 1990’s before leaving for Chelsea, and the Hammers would allegedly like to bring their former youth ace back to East London.
Terry may be ageing, and it’s starting to show, but his leadership could have been vital to the West Ham defence, whilst he’d also have been able to pass on some experience to youngster Reece Oxford, who has been tipped for stardom.
Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, Leicester City and Swansea City are also believed to be keen on signing Terry, but his intention to stay at Chelsea means that a January move now looks unlikely for the former England captain.
