West Ham United are reportedly interested in Everton target Daniel Opare.
According to the Daily Mail, West Ham United are joining the race to sign Augsburg defender Daniel Opare during the January transfer window.
The Hammers lost 2-1 at Manchester City this evening, meaning that David Moyes is still waiting for his first win as West Ham boss despite a valiant performance at the Etihad Stadium.
With just two wins from the first 15 games of the Premier League season, West Ham are mired in the relegation zone, and may need new signings in January to boost their chances of survival.
The Daily Mail report that West Ham have now joined the race to sign Augsburg defender Daniel Opare, amid interest from other Premier League rivals.
Opare, 27, has endured a nomadic career to date, turning out for the likes of Ashanti Gold, Sfax, Real Madrid Castilla, Standard Liege, Porto, Besiktas, Lens and Augsburg.
The Ghanaian international – who has 16 caps for his country – has been featuring prominently for Augsburg this season, and his performances are attracting interest.

The report claims that Everton and Swansea City are also eyeing up the pacey right back, with West Ham now joining the race given that he could leave for just £3million in January.
West Ham already have Pablo Zabaleta at right back, and any move for Opare would bring Sam Byram’s future into question, given how little the former Leeds ace has featured since his 2016 move to East London.
