Johnstone’s Aston Villa form is said to have alerted a trio of Premier League sides, including West Ham United.

West Ham United are involved in a three-way tussle for the services of Aston Villa’s on-loan goalkeeper Sam Johnstone, according to the Daily Mirror.
Johnstone is due to spend the rest of the season at Villa Park, although parent club Manchester United are said to have included a clause in the player’s contract which allows him to be recalled or sold next month.
The Sun reported earlier on Wednesday that the 24-year-old is a £5 million target for Crystal Palace, with West Bromwich Albion also keen.

And according to the Daily Mirror West Ham, too, have taken an interest in Johnstone, as they plan for life after their own on-loan goalkeeper, Joe Hart, next season.
Hart recently lost his place to Adrian San Miguel, whose future at the London Stadium is also said to be uncertain.
Johnstone has been in impressive form for Aston Villa his season, and is set to have his Manchester United contract extended until 2019 according to the Daily Mail – presumably to ensure they receive the biggest fee possible.
Losing the Lancastrian could prove doubly problematic for Villa, who are close to breaching the Football League’s Financial Fair Play regulations and may struggle to secure a like-for-like replacement should he depart.

West Ham boss David Moyes worked with Johnstone at Manchester United.
