West Ham United are reportedly keen on Roberto Mancini.

According to The Mirror, West Ham United are making Zenit St. Petersburg boss Roberto Mancini their top target should they choose to replace Slaven Bilic.

The Hammers faced a huge clash against Brighton and Hove Albion on Friday night, desperately needing a win – but they ended up falling to a shambolic 3-0 defeat at the London Stadium.

A fifth defeat in nine Premier League games this season has piled the pressure on manager Bilic, and some believe that he has just a couple of games left to save his job, having only just managed to cling onto his role at the end of last season.

A host of names have already been linked with moves to replace the Croatian, and The Mirror now claim that the West Ham hierarchy have identified Roberto Mancini as their top target.

Mancini, 52, became Zenit St. Petersburg manager back in June, almost a year since losing his job with Inter Milan, with the Italian looking to again try and rebuild his reputation as a manager.

Mancini is still well-remembered from his time with Manchester City, where he guided the club to the Premier League title in 2012, whilst winning 59% of his 191 games in charge.

Now, it’s believed that, despite him making the move to Russia just months ago, West Ham want to bring Mancini back to the Premier League, and have identified him as their top target should Bilic go.

The report states that, if West Ham lose to Palace next weekend, then Bilic could be gone, and an approach for Mancini would be ‘likely’ having allegedly emerged as the stand-out candidate.
