West Ham United are interested in signing Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart, but are not prepared to target him on a permanent basis.
According to a report from the Daily Mirror, West Ham are hoping that the lack of interest in signing Joe Hart on a permanent basis will tempt Manchester City into accepting their loan bid.
Hart’s future appears to be up in the air once again this summer, with the Mirror seemingly suggesting that the one thing that is for certain is that he will not be featuring for Pep Guardiola’s men as things stand.

Unfortunately for the Citizens however, the Mirror reports that their £20 million asking price is putting any interested side off making a bid to sign him permanently.
West Ham are one of the teams interested in signing the 30-year-old, and the Mirror suggests that they are hoping that the lack of permanent offers will convince City to sanction a season-long loan.
While neither of West Ham’s current two goalkeepers have cemented themselves as undisputed number ones at the London Stadium, Hammers supporters will surely be pleased that it appears that Slaven Bilic’s men currently have no plans to spend an eight-figure sum on Hart.
On his day, Hart can be a colossus, but his confidence appears to have taken a significant knock over the last few years and he is also susceptible to making mistakes at times – so a loan move would arguably be ideal at this stage as his arrival would seemingly not deplete their transfer funds too significantly.
