The Brentford striker is being linked with a move to West Ham.

West Ham United are hopeful that Brentford may be willing to bring down their asking price for striker Scott Hogan.

The Hammers are apparently hopeful that the Bees will be hopeful that Brentford are willing to drop their overall asking price to £13 million, rather than the £15 million originally quoted – according to Sky Sports.

They also report that West Ham have agreed an initial fee of £9 million for the striker, who came off the bench to feature against Chelsea in the FA Cup this afternoon.

Hogan has been linked with several clubs this month after a brilliant season so far at Griffin Park.

Watford were also credited with an interest but it appears West Ham are now in the driving seat to complete his signature.

Hogan has been in fine form this season for Brentford, scoring 14 goals in 27 appearances, but has been out of the side most of this year because of his transfer situation.

West Ham need striking options after watching their summer signings Simone Zaza and Jonathan Calleri fail to find the net on a regular basis.
