The 42-cap Greece international is known to one of West Ham United’s key members of staff.

West Ham United have held talks to sign the Olympiacos midfielder, Kostas Fortounis, according to The Sun.
The newspaper claims Fortounis ‘has been targeted by the Hammers in a £16 million deal’.
Pablo Fornals of Villarreal is listed as another potential West Ham option, along with Andre Gomes of Barcelona – although it is suggested the former Everton loanee ‘could be too expensive’.
And with 12 months left on his contract, Fortounis is described as being easier for the Londoners to land.

Fortounis is known to the West Ham sporting director, Mario Husillos, from their time together at Olympiacos.
And Husillos is said to have recommended the 26-year-old after he scored or assisted 33 goals in 43 games this past campaign.

West Ham recently offered £8.8 million for Fortounis, who is two-footed and can play on either flank as well as his favoured central role, according to Sport24.
