AS Roma have joined the list of clubs looking to bring in West Ham midfielder Pedro Obiang, according to reports in Italy.

Corriere dello Sport is suggesting that Roma have been offered the Spanish midfielder this summer, at a fee of around €6 million (£5.1 million).

Roma are now said to be assessing the potential of a transfer for the Hammers midfielder.

The report also claims that Obiang has been offered to Napoli, Fiorentina, Palermo and Cagliari this summer, making it five teams in Italy that have been offered the player by West Ham.

Obiang was only signed by West Ham last summer. Despite making an overall impressive 30 appearances for the club last term the majority of those came from the bench and it appears he is not a part of the first-team plans under Slaven Bilic this season.

Despite being a Spanish national Obiang played in Italy from the age of 16, joining the youth academy at Sampdoria prior to his move to West Ham last summer.

It will certainly be interesting to see if the 24-year-old is still at West Ham this time next week.
