According to The Athletic, West Ham United have had an approach for Aaron Wan-Bissaka knocked back.

The right-back is seemingly out of favour at Manchester United, with Diogo Dalot starting each of the Red Devils’ first four league games, but despite Erik ten Hag barely using Wan-Bissaka, they’re seemingly unwilling to let him go.

Indeed, both West Ham and Crystal Palace have had approaches for the full-back knocked back, and with just a matter of days remaining in the window, these moves look unlikely.

This report states that United do not intend to loan out or sell Wan-Bissaka before the deadline, so both Palace and West Ham may have to look elsewhere.

However, no deal is truly dead until the window is closed, and while the two London clubs have failed with their first approaches, we can’t say for sure that their race is run just yet.

Unfortunately for West Ham though, Wan-Bissaka may be more inclined to join Palace if the two opportunities arose.

The Manchester United ace is a boyhood Palace fan, and it’s fair to say that the Eagles do need a right-back through the door – after all, Nathaniel Clyne is still a regular starter for the south London outfit.

Graeme Bailey stated a few days ago that he’d expect Wan-Bissaka to re-join Palace, and while West Ham are now seemingly in the race, it’s hard to say that they’re favourites by any stretch of the imagination.

Whether or not David Moyes’ side move for another right-back before Thursday’s deadline remains to be seen, but given that the Hammers have moved for quite an ambitious target in the shape of this ‘massive talent’ this may be one to watch towards the end of the window.
