West Ham United have been delivered good and bad news in the latest injury update by the Daily Express.

Andriy Yarmolenko and Angelo Ogbonna are both set to be out for weeks, which is a blow to West Ham’s chances this term.

However, the good news is that the update on Yarmolenko is more positive than David Moyes first feared.

Moyes thought that the Ukrainian may be out for the full season when he initially picked up the problem, but it seems that he should now be back in March.

West Ham will be eager for Yarmolenko to return sooner rather than later too.

HIs importance to the Hammers’ squad increased drastically after West Ham failed to find a striker in January, and let Sebastien Haller go.

West Ham are now heavily reliant on Michail Antonio staying fit, as he is their only senior striking option.

Moyes will also have to find a new solution at the back with Ogbonna out.

The Italian has formed a solid partnership with Craig Dawson in recent weeks, but that will now have to be broken up.

Of West Ham’s options Issa Diop seems the most likely to step in.

Diop is still rated highly by West Ham and considered to have a lot of potential, but he has not always been entirely reliable and has shown a worrying tendency to make errors.
