According to MLS Soccer, Sporting Kansas City could sign Winston Reid from West Ham on a permanent basis.
The report states that a source has revealed Reid could become a full-time Sporting KC player if he and the American outfit believe there’s a ‘mutual’ fit.
The 32-year-old moved to Major League Soccer in February, signing a loan deal with the Kansas-based outfit.
Since then, the New Zealand international has made ten appearances for Sporting KC, scoring one goal.
However, if MLS Soccer‘s source is to be believed, then West Ham fans might’ve seen the last of the man who has made 223 appearances for the Hammers.

Reid – who earns an annual salary of £3.64 million, which equates to £70,000-a-week – last appeared for West Ham on March 3rd 2018 against Swansea.
The centre-back suffered a bad injury in that 4-1 defeat, and eventually fell so far down the pecking order that he left to join Sporting KC.

Reid seems to be finding his feet once again over in the United States, and at 32 years of age, he is perhaps reaching an age where he might not be as effective as he once was in the Premier League.
So, as aforesaid, if both he and Sporting KC believe there’s a ‘mutual’ fit, West Ham fans might’ve seen the last of their Auckland-born defender.
