West Ham United have reportedly failed with a bid for Craig Dawson.

According to The Telegraph, West Ham United have failed with a £12million bid for West Bromwich Albion defender Craig Dawson, with the Baggies so far standing firm.
The Hammers have been busy of late, as they brought in goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski and defender Issa Diop last week, whilst they had already brought in right back Ryan Fredericks from Fulham.
Manuel Pellegrini appears to be in the market for another defender this summer, with the likes of Alfie Mawson, Marlon Santos and Armando Izzo all linked with the club, but another name has appeared tonight.

The Telegraph report that West Ham have offered £12million for West Bromwich Albion defender Craig Dawson, but the Baggies have rejected that offer tonight.
The Baggies are thought to value Dawson at more than £20million, meaning that West Ham may need to go close to doubling their offer in order to bring the defender to East London.
Dawson, 28, joined the Baggies from Rochdale in 2010, and has become a first-team regular at The Hawthorns, boasting an impressive goalscoring record of 12 goals in 180 games for the club.

A centre back or right back, Dawson could be a versatile option for West Ham, and would fit nicely into a back three under Pellegrini, as Fredericks or Pablo Zabaleta likely to be the options at right back.
Burnley are also thought to be keen on signing Dawson this summer, but with West Brom rebuffing that first offer, it remains to be seen whether anybody comes close to their asking price.
