West Ham United do not want to pay £20 million for Brentford star Said Benrahma, according to The Telegraph.

It has been reported that Brentford’s valuation of £20 million for the Algeria international is too high for West Ham.

The Championship club reportedly initially wanted £30 million for the 25-year-old, who can operate as a winger or as a forward.

It has been added that West Ham want to replace Grady Diangana with Benrahma, with the 22-year-old winger having joined West Bromwich Albion this summer in a deal that could be worth £18 million.

Stats

According to WhoScored, Benrahma made 42 starts and four substitute appearances in the Championship for Brentford last season, scoring 17 goals and providing nine assists in the process.

The Algeria international made 29 starts and nine substitute appearances in the league for the Bees in 2018-19, scoring 10 goals and providing 14 assists in the process, according to WhoScored.

Stepping up

Benrahma has done well in the Championship, and the 25-year-old is ready to take the next step in his career and move to a club in the Premier League, and he could prove to be a very good signing for West Ham.
