It is expected that Marseille will sell Duje Caleta-Car for just £13 million in the summer transfer window with West Ham United now interested in the one-time Liverpool target, as reported by The Athletic.
Five months ago, the Croatia international centre-back was stuck on an airport runway, going nowhere fast after a January move to Liverpool fell apart at the eleventh hour.
With the transfer window about to creak open again, however, Caleta-Car will be hoping history does not repeat itself.
The former Dinamo Zagreb youngster is expected to make the trip across the Channel at long last, with West Ham now the most likely Premier League destination for a man who has struggled for form since missing out on a dream switch to Anfield.

The Hammers are long-time admirers, too.
They saw a £20 million bid for Caleta-Car rejected in October 2020 (Sky).
The Athletic reports that, less than 12 months later, there is a belief that Marseille will accept a vastly reduced fee for their 6ft 4ins centre-half.
Caleta-Car would be joining a West Ham side who qualified for the Europa League last term, filling a void created by the departure of the out-of-contract Fabian Balbuena.
