West Ham United are reportedly interested in Maxi Gomez of Celta de Vigo.

It has been reported that West Ham are considering whether or not to trigger Gomez’s £43.3 million release clause in his contract at Celta.
According to the report, the Hammers could loan the 22-year-old striker back to the Spanish club for the rest of the season once the deal goes through.
Good plan from West Ham United
West Ham do have enough strikers, and while there can never be too many good players in a squad, Gomez may not get enough chances should he move to the London Stadium in the January transfer window.
With Javier Hernandez, Andy Carroll and Marko Arnautovic all in the West Ham squad, manager Manuel Pellegrini is not exactly in desperate need for a striker.

Gomez is playing well for Celta at the moment, and it will make sense for the youngster to end the season in Spain.
According to WhoScored, the 22-year-old Uruguay international striker has made 16 starts and two substitute appearances in La Liga for Celta so far this season, scoring nine goals and providing five assists in the process.
