One of David Moyes first acts at West Ham could be to sanction the sale of arguably the club’s five most exciting talents.

David Moyes walked into a Sunderland side at the start of last season crippled with debt and unable to improve a below-par squad.
And the Scot may be fearful that history could repeat itself at his new employers. Because The Mirror reports that West Ham may have to raise cash in order to reinvest in their squad during the January transfer window – which could mean The Hammers are forced to sell some of their brightest young prospects.
The report claims that West Ham could cash in on Declan Rice (below), Domingos Quina and Reece Oxford in the New Year in order to fund improvements in a team that looks to be in the midst of a real relegation battle.

18-year-old Rice has made his mark in the first-team this season, making five Premier League appearances either in defensive midfield or centre-half. Arsenal are understood to be one of a number of clubs keeping tabs on the teenager.
Quina, meanwhile, is one of the most exciting talents to emerge out of West Ham’s academy in many a year. Academy coach Terry Westley even went as far as to describe the 17-year-old as one of Europe’s top youngsters, per the club’s official website.
There will be no lack of interest in Quina or, for that matter, Oxford. Likened to Rio Ferdinand, the teenage centre-half exploded onto the scene when starring on his Premier League debut as a 16-year-old in West Ham’s 2-0 win away at Arsenal on the opening day of 2015/16.
Oxford is currently struggling for game time during a loan spell at Borussia Monchengladbach.

The report adds that Josh Cullen and Reece Burke, who are both impressing on loan at Bolton Wanderers, are also at risk of being sold.
However, the already under-fire Moyes would not be making a great first impression on supporters if he agreed to cash in on the club’s future to secure a more promising present.
