The Hammers are said to be scouting the out-of-favour Inter Milan midfielder this January.
West Ham United have reportedly rekindled their interest in a former transfer target, if recent reports are anything to go by.
Inter Milan midfielder Antonio Candreva has not been having the best of times at the San Siro in recent months, making just 12 appearances all season, with a mere four Serie A starts.
In comparison, the 31-year-old started 33 games in the Italian top flight last term and totalled 37 appearances in the famous black and blue stripes in 2017-18.
According to the Daily Star, the Hammers were linked with a move for the Italy international in the summer, but the interest petered out after the signing of Felipe Anderson.
However, with Manuel Pellegrini having to contend with numerous injury issues within his team, the outlet suggests that a move for the out-of-favour winger could be back on the cards.
Candreva has just a year-and-a-half left to run on his current deal at Inter, having signed a four year contract when he joined the Nerazzurri in 2016, and is valued by Transfermarkt at £9.9m.
With 54 caps for the Azzurri since his 2009 debut and a World Cup (Brazil 2014) under his belt, clearly he has quality, and given he has got so little game time this season, Luciano Spalletti could well be willing to offload him in January, giving the Hammers a realistic opportunity of signing him.
