90min have reported that Tottenham Hotspur are in talks with Bayer Leverkusen over signing Edmond Tapsoba in the summer transfer window, but London and Premier League rivals West Ham United could show interest in the defender as well.
“West Ham are set to appoint Tim Steidten, who previously worked for Leverkusen, as their new technical director and could also make their interest known,” states the report, adding that the Hammers could offer the 24-year-old Burkina Faso international centre-back European football next season, unlike Spurs.
West Ham will play in the UEFA Europa League next season after winning the UEFA Europa Conference League last campaign.

Spurs are more likely to be successful in the coming years than the Hammers.
Now, of course, it could come down to which club pay more to Bayer and to Tapsoba, but if Spurs better the Hammers in that regard, then the North London club should be able to get a deal done for him.
