According to Gianluca Di Marzio, AC Milan are in talks over a deal to sign Real Madrid youngster Brahim Diaz.
It’s claimed that Milan are discussing a deal with the Spanish giants, with a loan-to-buy being pursued as things stand.
Real are hesitant to sell him straight up, so the initial loan makes sense for all, with ‘positive signals’ that a deal will be worked out.
This could be bad news for West Ham United, with David Moyes allegedly keen on luring the Spaniard to East London.
The Mirror (26/07, p77) reported that West Ham were looking to take Diaz on loan, with Zinedine Zidane keen to get him playing.
West Ham would have been forced to commit to a certain number of minutes for Diaz, and Milan will likely face similar terms.
That report noted that a decision wouldn’t be taken until mid-August, yet we’re nearly at the end of the month and no final call has been made.

Milan now pose a major threat to West Ham’s hopes of a deal, with a move to the San Siro surely appealing to any young player.
Diaz, 21, was a bright young star at Manchester City, but left for Real Madrid in January 2019, where he has struggled to play.
A winger or playmaker, Diaz played just six league games last season. West Ham may have wanted him in case the likes of Felipe Anderson and Manuel Lanzini moved on, but as they’re still at the club, they could now miss out to Milan.
