West Ham United have been contacted by their Premier League rivals about a deal for Andy Carroll.

And it appears that Chelsea may be prepared to start meeting the Irons’ demands, with Sky Sports’ live transfer feed (16th January 2018; 12:45) reporting that Antonio Conte’s side have been in contact with the Hammers about a possible permanent deal for the 29-year-old.
Sky Sports adds that West Ham will not sell for less than their asking price – though the report does not confirm what that price actually is at this stage – so the ball now appears to be in Chelsea’s court regarding a potential deal.

It has been a frustrating season for Carroll, with just two goals coming in the top flight – both in the 2-1 win over West Brom at the start of the month.
Nevertheless, it would be no surprise if the West Ham supporters were urging the club to only sell the forward if they have a replacement lined up as he certainly can give the team a different dimension when he is at his best.
