West Ham United are being linked with Ayomide Faniyan.

According to All Nigeria Soccer, West Ham United are deciding whether to offer a contract to free agent striker Ayomide Faniyan.
The Hammers may be in the market for a first-team striker this month, even if Marko Arnautovic, Lucas Perez and Javier Hernandez end up staying.
Yet West Ham may also look to bring in a young striker to develop in the years to come, with one name seemingly under consideration at the London Stadium.
All Nigeria Soccer report that West Ham have given teenage striker Faniyan a trial of more than eight weeks in an attempt to see whether he’s worth a deal.
It’s now believed that West Ham are closing in on a decision, but the club’s hierarchy have a major concern about handing him a permanent deal.
The report states that West Ham higher-ups don’t want to stunt the development of 15-year-old striker Amadou Diallo, and are worried that signing Faniyan may do just that.

Faniyan, 18, was on the books with Reading, but has been a free agent since being released by the Royals back in September 2018.
Faniyan has already spent two months with the club, and the Hammers would have even more time to think about a move as he can sign after Thursday’s transfer deadline due to his free agent status.
