West Ham United are interested in signing Manchester United duo Nemanja Matic and Phil Jones in the summer transfer window, according to Eurosport.
It has been reported that West Ham are checking out midfielder Matic and defender Jones.
However, according to the report, the 32-year-old Serbian midfielder and the 29-year-old English central defender both will want over £120,000 per week as salary.
Too expensive for West Ham United?
Paying two players who are arguably past their prime over £120,000 per week does appear to be a bit too much for West Ham.
Jones has not played a match since January 2020 due to injury problems. When the defender was playing, he did not look particularly great either.

Matic does have a lot of experience, which will come handy should the Hammers finish in the Premier League top four and play in the Champions League next season.
The former Chelsea midfielder would make the Hammers better in the middle of the park in the big games in Europe.
However, if the Hammers are to pay the Serbian over £120,000 per week as salary, then they have to make sure that it is a short-term deal and not a long-term contract.
