According to Sportbladet, West Ham can now sign Jordan Larsson for just €10m (£8m) in January due to his contract situation at Spartak Moscow.
What’s the story?
Well, it was Goal who originally revealed that West Ham wanted Larsson.
The son of Henrik Larsson finds himself out of contract in June 2023, and Sportbladet believe he won’t sign a new deal with the Russian giants.
Spartak Moscow were keen to tie the 24-year-old down for another two to three years, although he has flat out refused to stay.
Now, they’re ready to offload the 7-cap Sweden international in January as they look to recoup as much money as possible for the wantaway forward.
Larsson scored 15 goals in all competitions last season, which attracted the interest of David Moyes – it was a phenomenal campaign.
However, the Spartak Moscow No.11 has only scored one goal in 14 outings this season, which came against Leicester in the Europa League.
Should West Ham sign Jordan Larsson?

If you’d have said the Hammers could sign Larsson for just £8m back in the summer, Moyes would’ve been crazy to turn it down.
Now, however, there are definitely question marks surrounding the Swede.
Yes, £8m isn’t a big commitment, and it wouldn’t be a disaster from a financial aspect if Larsson arrived at the London Stadium and failed.

However, Albian Ajeti cost £8m after an impressive season for FC Basel, and proved to be ineffective in east London – he was then sold to Celtic.
That deal was a huge waste of everyone’s time, and it’s imperative that Moyes finds someone who can properly deputise for Michail Antonio.
On the basis of this season, Larsson doesn’t look like he can do that.
