According to The Sun on Sunday (print edition, page 57, January 3, 2021), West Ham United and West Bromwich Albion are interested in signing Mamadou Sakho from Premier League rivals Crystal Palace in the January transfer window.

The report in the British tabloid has claimed that Palace would be open to selling the former Liverpool central defender this month, with the 30-year-old out of contract at the end of the season.

West Brom manager Sam Allardyce signed Sakho when he was in charge of Palace and is looking to bring him to The Hawthorns on a loan deal, according to the report.

However, Allardyce is reportedly facing competition from his old club West Ham.

Mamadou Sakho Stats

Sakho has been on the books of Palace since 2017 and has not played much football in recent times.

According to WhoScored, the centre-back has made three starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for the Eagles so far this season.

During the 2019-20 campaign, the former Liverpool man made 11 starts and three substitute appearances in the league for Palace, according to WhoScored.
