Spanish outlet El Desmarque claim that West Ham and David Moyes are considering a move to sign free agent Adnan Januzaj, after his Real Sociedad deal expired. Barcelona and Jose Mourinho’s Roma are also interested.

Januzaj, 27, has spent the last five years at Sociedad – joining a club Moyes previously managed. He has since clocked up 168 appearances for the La Liga outfit, having a hand in 44 goals from either out wide, or as a 10.

But the 15-time Belgium international has chosen to end his five-year stay at Sociedad, and will now be on the lookout for a new side. He has plenty of suitors, as Moyes eyes a third spell with Januzaj.

The two worked together at Manchester United, and Moyes took him on loan at Sunderland. A player he once said was a “real talent” after a goal against West Ham in 2013. But Barcelona and Roma are also keen.

Barcelona’s first priority will be Leeds United ace Raphinha – another target for the Hammers. But if they fail to get Raphinha, with finances an issue, they could look at Januzaj. Roma are also interested in the Belgian.

West Ham considering Januzaj: Hammers, Barcelona or Mourinho?

A move to West Ham would be a good one for the midfielder. But he would find competition in the likes of Manuel Lanzini, Said Benrahma and Pablo Fornals. He might start the odd game, but he would be a rotation player.

Especially, if the Hammers also bring in Jesse Lingard. A move to Roma would see him get more opportunities and with Roma in the Europa League, it is one up from West Ham – who qualified for the Conference League.

But a move to Barcelona, a club he has been linked with before, would surely be too good to turn down. Can they afford Raphinha? Even the player himself is beginning to think he might end up staying at Leeds.
