According to The Guardian (18:47), West Ham United are plotting a late deal to sign Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori.
It’s claimed that West Ham have turned their attention to Tomori having failed to sign teammate Antonio Rudiger.
Rudiger looks set to stay at Chelsea, meaning Tomori could now be available on loan for the rest of the season.
Chelsea have Thiago Silva, Andreas Christensen, Kurt Zouma as well as Rudiger and Tomori, meaning one should move on.
It seemingly won’t be Rudiger, and West Ham are now trying their luck with Tomori in the hope they can somehow end the day with a Chelsea centre back snapped up.
Tomori, 22, impressed in the Chelsea first team last season, picking up one England cap before falling out of favour.

Frank Lampard clearly rates Tomori, but first-team football at West Ham could be ideal for him this season, especially as he can stay in London.
West Ham have failed to land a number of centre backs in recent weeks, so it will now be fascinating to see whether they can push a move through for Tomori in the dying embers of the window.
