According to RMC Sport, West Ham United are about to sign Chelsea youngster Pierre Ekwah in a seven-figure move.
It’s claimed that Ekwah has already been training with West Ham in recent weeks ahead of a possible move.
A contract of up to four years is now waiting for Ekwah, and West Ham will allegedly pay around €1.5million (£1.3million) to get him signed up.
Ekwah, 19, came through the Clairefontaine youth setup before heading to Nantes, and Chelsea snapped him up in 2018.
Primarily a defensive midfielder who can also play at centre back, Ekwah has recorded 13 caps for France’s Under-16’s and is hailed as ‘quick and athletic’ on Chelsea’s official site.
This past season, the French teenager bagged one goal in seven Premier League 2 games, and actually scored for West Ham as a trialist against Arsenal Under-23’s last month.

West Ham have now seen enough to strike a deal for Ekwah, keeping him in London – only now the East is his home rather than the West.
Having already signed forward Thierry Nevers from Reading, this is another sign that West Ham are looking to the future with some teenage additions.
