West Ham United have reportedly agreed a deal in principle to sign Michy Batshuayi.

According to a report from Sky Sports’ live transfer blog (31/1; 12:15), West Ham have agreed a deal in principle with Chelsea to loan Michy Batshuayi, but the Blues have reached a similar arrangement with Real Betis.

Batshuayi’s future has attracted plenty of speculation this month with the forward returning prematurely from his loan spell at Valencia. And it appears that he could finally be on the move on deadline day.

Sky Sports’ live transfer blog (31/1; 12:15) reports that both West Ham and Real Betis have seen loan bids accepted for the Belgian, but Chelsea remain hopeful that they may be able to sell Batshuayi permanently, with Everton interested in the £30 million-rated forward.

There already appears to be plenty of work for the Hammers to do to get a late deal across the line. But it seems that Manuel Pellegrini’s task could be even tougher.

The Daily Mail are reporting on their own transfer feed (31/1; 12:12) that Batshuayi was said to not be interested in a switch to the London Stadium before these offers were accepted.

While the Irons are seemingly facing an uphill battle to get a move done, they can perhaps boost their hopes of signing Batshuayi by offloading Lucas Perez to the Spaniards.

Sky Sports reported that Betis wanted the 30-year-old this month, so perhaps leaving the path clear for Perez to move on may just help the Hammers out – as long as Everton do not come calling with an eight-figure offer.
