West Ham and Brentford are reportedly keeping tabs on Sheffield Wednesday talent Bailey Cadamarteri, who could leave the League One side in the coming months.

According to the Sheffield Star, the London clubs are keen on the teenage attacker, who is regarded by Sheffield Wednesday as a ‘talented’ prospect who could go all the way to the top.

The son of former Everton attacker Danny Cadamarteri, the Leeds-born prospect has been impressive in recent years with Sheffield Wednesday, with his performances in the FA Youth Cup alerting West Ham and Brentford.

As per the report, though, Cadamarteri could slip through Sheffield Wednesday’s fingers given that the forward can’t sign the prospect on a professional deal until he turns 17-years-old.

With Sheffield Wednesday undecided on whether to keep on Cadamarteri beyond his current scholarship, this has opened the door for either West Ham or Brentford to sign the attacker this year.

Moreover, with Cadamarteri turning 17 in May, the Hammers and west London side won’t have to wait too long before making a move to sign the youngster on a professional deal.

Poaching players from EFL clubs is hardly anything new from Premier League sides, yet West Ham and Brentford are conducting themselves well in their pursuit of Cadamarteri.

After all, the forward is highly rated by the historic Sheffield club, and with Cadamarteri now on West Ham and Brentford’s radar, the youngster could join the academy of one of the top teams in the country in the English capital.
