West Ham United are keen to sign Everton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin, but are not quite willing to meet the full asking price.

According to the Daily Mail’s live transfer feed (29th January 2018; 14:19), West Ham are willing to pay £20 million to sign Morgan Schneiderlin from Everton this month, but the Toffees are seeking even more for the Frenchman.

Schneiderlin has endured a pretty poor time at Goodison Park since arriving from Manchester United when Ronald Koeman was in charge. His form has been heavily criticised by the Everton fans this term, and it appears that he may not be at the club for much longer.

According to the Mail, West Ham are plotting a late bid for the former Southampton man as David Moyes looks to get some signings through the door before Wednesday’s deadline.

And the Mail reports on their live transfer feed (29th January 2018; 14:19) that the Irons are willing to pay £20 million for the 28-year-old, but that falls short of Everton’s valuation.

The Mail suggests that the Toffees want to bag £24 million for the midfielder – which is the same amount that they paid United – so it will be interesting to see whether the Hammers are willing to compromise in the final days of the month.

With Schneiderlin not looking at his best for much of this season, it would certainly be no surprise at all if the Irons fans were disappointed to see the club consider making a £20 million bid, let alone think about possibly paying £24 million for him.
