West Ham United and Crystal Palace have approached the agent of Strasbourg speedster Jean-Rincer Bellegarde ahead of a potential January move to the Premier League, according to FootMercato.
The 2020/21 campaign has been something of a disaster so far for a Strasbourg side sitting nervously above the Ligue 1 relegation zone.
But, while most of Thierry Laurey’s squad have underperformed in recent months, Bellegarde continues to go from strength to strength at the Stade de la Meinau.
So much so that, according to FM, London-based duo West Ham and Crystal Palace have expressed their interest in the former France U21 international.
Approaches have apparently been made to the 22-year-old’s agent with Bellegarde, who can play in the middle or in a wider role, high on the list of the Premier League duo.
“He’s one of the fastest players (in the league),” Laurey said recently of a hard-working midfielder renowned for his pace, dribbling ability and strength in the tackle.

Palace and West Ham have also been linked with Derby County dynamo Jason Knight, via the Mirror.
It seems that an exciting young midfielder is right at the top of their respective January wish-lists.
Interestingly, West Ham were also linked with Bellegarde back in August (FM).
