According to Own Goal Nigeria, West Ham United have won the race to sign Eupen attacker Henry Onyekuru, beating off competition from Everton.
The Hammers focused their attentions on attacking reinforcements last summer, but the likes of Sofiane Feghouli, Gokhan Tore, Ashley Fletcher, Jonathan Calleri and Simone Zaza enjoyed little success.
That leaves manager Slaven Bilic again searching for new forwards this summer, and it seems that West Ham are closing in on making a new addition.
Own Goal Nigeria have been tracking the future of Eupen star Henry Onyekuru, and they now claim that West Ham are set to win the race for the teenager’s signature.

Onyekuru, 19, joined Eupen from the Aspire Academy in 2015, and after helping them win promotion to the top flight of Belgian football last season, he has become a sensation this term.
The Nigerian – who can play up front or out wide – has racked up 22 goals and nine assists this season, and a summer move has been beckoning for the forward having excelled for a mid-table Belgian side.

Now, it’s stated that West Ham have agreed a deal worth around £7million for Onyekuru, pipping Premier League rivals Everton for his services ahead of the summer transfer window.
Personal terms and a medical still need to be completed if the report is to be believed, but if true, West Ham are on the verge of a low-cost, exciting addition that could finally bring some goals to Bilic’s side.
