West Bromwich Albion are willing to sell Arsenal and Manchester City target Jonny Evans today – but only if they sign a replacement first, according to The Mirror.

The former Manchester United defender has been linked with a move to Man City for a lot of the month but Arsenal are now in the reckoning amid doubts over Shkodran Mustafi’s long-term future in North London, with Inter Milan seemingly interested.

It isn’t ideal for the Baggies who, given today is deadline day, might not have enough time to identify and sign an adequate replacement for Evans, who has been a rock for them.

Then again, money talks and if Arsenal put forward a big offer then it might tempt The Hawthorns club to sell first and then look for a replacement.

Arsenal have signed only two players this summer – Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette – but BBC Sport journalist David Ornstein claimed on Wednesday that the North Londoners have no money left.
